I'm a big fan of the Biggest Loser. One of my favorite points of each season is near the end of the contestants' weight loss journey. For one of their final challenges, each of them straps onto their bodies the same amount of weight they've lost, and realize how much it literally *weighed* them down. They've shed huge amounts of weight, 80-150 lbs. It's amazing to me how now, with their new trim bodies, it's such a struggle to carry the same amount of weight they used to carry each day! They get short of breath, have back pain, some of them can barely move.
I've been following the Weight Watchers plan for 15 weeks now, and while lately, the scale has been moving veeerrrry slowly (I'm getting within 10 lbs or so of my final personal goal), still..it is continuing to go down. After watching the latest episode of Biggest Loser, thought I'd do my own 'weight comparison' of how much I've lost. Though not nearly as impressive as theirs, this weight was still affecting my life and health, and I am so grateful that it is OFF! So here it is...when I try to lift it all at once, and realize how heavy it is, it's amazing to me that this used to be on MY body. What a good reminder of how far I've come, for this very visual person!
